So far I have only made one trip to the seemingly endless Nebraska Sandhills which covers some 20,000 sq. miles of the state, but it is by far one of my favorite places to be. I have been fortunate to travel to many different places over the last several years, but there is something so magical about that area that. For those of that don't know, the Nebraska Sandhills is a region of prairie grasses that sits on sand dunes and covers nearly 1/4 of the state, not to mention all of the functional windmills pumping water from the ground. In my opinion golden hour in the Nebraska Sandhills simply can't be beaten. The soft light from the sun low on the horizon just spills across the land kissing the tops of the tall prairie grasses leaving everything else in shadow is just gorgeous.
