Up until getting into photography I always dreaded winter. The colder temperatures and snow was something I loathed 1000% and would actually get upset at the weather as if I had any amount of control over it. I was always the guy who wanted nothing more but to live in a place where I could wear shorts and flip-flops every day of the year. Now, as crazy as it sounds (especially coming from me) I look forward to the cold, snowy weather more and more specifically when it comes to making photographs. To me, bad weather makes more interesting photographs, and nothing gets my spidey senses going more than a day of shooting photos during a snowstorm. Since its almost the end of 2017, and we haven't had any snow yet, I thought I would share this small series from one of my favorite snow days of 2016.
All photos were taken on the same day within a few hours of each other throughout rural Pottawattamie County, Iowa.
Until next time!
